The Star Hotel

The Star Hotel is built on medieval foundations and was used as an Inn by the 1600’s. The present facade dates from the late 1700’s and due refurbishment in 2015.

The Star was a popular coaching Inn with regular services reaching London in 10 hours.

In 1831 the future Queen Victoria stayed there with her mother.
